I open my eyes, a burning world out there,
a dying world inside.
I never thought it would rain this way,
in tears I saw you drown,
in fields of painted grey, I‘m on my own.
I cannot see the way,
when pain is covering my eyes...
I look into the going past,
autumn leaves and words...falling fast... so fast.
At the edge of yesterday I had to let you go,
this fortress turns to dust,
my mind is all I know!
Your candle burned down,
I listened to the noises,
to changing seasons and to dying voices.
At the edge of yesterday
your embrace fade away
nobody‘s home and there‘s nowhere to stay....
I close my eyes, a burning world out there,
a dying world inside
I never thought you would take this way,
In tears I saw you drown.
Between the fading lights,
between those endless fights,
my memories burn bright.
I buried you in sorrow,
behind the time is your tomorrow!
I run I fall I never found serenity
is there a place to be? please lie to me!
Like falling leaves, I am slowly sinking
to a new coming frost.
Is this my way, to conquer to lost?
Nobody showed me how to return
How to return to the light!
If I free myself myself from life,
covered in cold light and dew,
I wont be able to remember you

An absolutely amazing album that reaches you to the bottom of the abyss. Gaia takes you by the hand, tells you that you're not alone in this, the pain is over, the misunderstanding of your pain is over and accompanied by keyboards, violins, acoustic guitars, cello and amazing vocals, she pulls you out of the disgusting mire of your mind and together you embark on a journey of melancholy, despondency, hope, pessimism and the seasons. tenebriscaedes

German Melodic Doom / Death Metal. Started with their latestest & slowly but surely got hooked! This is along the lines of Swallow the Sun or Insomnium or Enshine but it is more too & they have their own brand of melancholic agression. Highly recommended!!! bmurator

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Insoutenable... Jordan Vauvert
